NOPEC (Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council) is a non-profit consortium of over 235 Ohio communities that negotiates lower utility rates.  As Ohio’s largest governmental energy aggregator, NOPEC buys gas and electricity in bulk to help lower its members’ utility bills.  We advocate for our members at the state and federal level in legislative and regulatory matters to endorse consumer-friendly legislation.  NOPEC also provides grants and loans to its member communities to help fund local energy-efficient improvements.  Since 2001, we have saved residents and businesses over $300 million and have provided over $28 million in community grants. 

NOPEC is seeking a CFO who will work hand in hand with NOPEC’s COO/IntegratorJoyce Mihalik and other members of the senior leadership team.  The CFO is responsible for leading the overall finance and accounting functions for NOPEC. The CFO will be responsible for planning, developing, overseeing, and implementing all organizational financial and accounting processes and related strategies, communications and financial reporting activities – internal and external. S/he will also be responsible for timelyeffective, and measurable interaction with the NOPEC Executive Director and Board of Directors.  In addition, s/he will oversee all investing activities and be responsible for the development, implementation and support of all internal control systems.  This position will report directly to the COO/Integrator.
